Covid Update
We are now able to allow prospective adopters to come and meet cats and we are carrying out home visits as normal. The Tiny Cat Cafe is now also up and running once again subject to availability.
Welcome to Shropshire Street Cats
Our team is passionate about animal welfare and our core members are Jane, Bertie, Charli and Mimi who between them organise Street Cats.
Katie and Dan, our foster parents, occasionally open their cattery for Cat Café sessions. Please see our ‘Cat Café’ page for more information.
Jane, Jenny, Janet, Katie and Dan, Jo, Sue, Karen, Rhian and the Hoseley family are our foster mums. We also have a much-valued core team of volunteers, who we couldn’t operate without.
Help with neutering
The weather is just starting to improve and those cats will be feeling frisky again!!! Now is the time to make sure that your cats are neutered so there are no more unwanted kittens!!!! Unneutered toms also risk contracting fatal diseases when fighting with other tom cats. Neutering cats is a priority for all responsible cat owners to stop unwanted kittens and the spread of disease in the cat population. Shropshire Street Cats can help with vouchers as one of Cats Protections Advocate Charities. If you need help and think that you may be eligible for help towards neutering costs please either pop into Nantwich Vets, Market Drayton , Wayland Vets, Whitchurch or Pets Choice Vet Centre, Stafford Park, Telford and ask, or email us at [email protected] or text us 0n 07443507526.
Kittens are wonderful but they grow into cats, many who are dumped, neglected or not wanted. In partnership with Cats Protection we can help. Get in touch before its too late!
Visit our cat cafe today!
Like cats? Like tea and cake? Well we’ve just come up with a fundraising idea for our most loyal supporters.
We’re opening up our luxury rescue pen near Whitchurch as (probably) the UK’s smallest cat cafe. For a minimum donation of £5 per person come and see the cats we have resident, and enjoy some tea/coffee, biscuits and cake.
Terms: suitable for 1-3 people only. Strictly limited availability – our cats come first and many cats would not be confident enough to have visitors. We’ll advertise whenever we have a time slot available, and ask you to message if you’re interested. This is an opportunity to meet the residents, possibly with a view to adopt, although this is not required. We are not operating as a licensed cafe.
If you would like to go on the list to come and share tea and cake with our cats when we have a vacant spot please email us at [email protected]
